Producing Corrosion Alloy Welded Pipes

-->
-->

Brief description of the manufacturing process producing corrosion alloy welded pipes, stainless, steel, tainless.

Inox Tech manufactures longitudinally welded pipes from plate.
The strength of its production stands on the flexibility to produce a wide range of dimensions and materials; this allows the factory to offer complete pipe lists for many Oil & Gas applications.

The mill is capable to supply pipes with plates coming from quarto as well as from coil, starting from the flat plate that can be UT tested to check laminar imperfections.
The plate is initially beveled for the welding, then formed and tack welded, then welded inside and outside.
After these operations the weld is then x-rayed and/or UT tested, then the pipe is heat treated (typically solution annealed), calibrated to obtain perfect roundness and straightness and hydro tested.

Final operations of end beveling,  pickling and passivation, marking and color coding are then completed with the final visual and dimensional check, to release pipes for collection by the client.

Simultaneously destructive tests on pipes samples are performed at the laboratory, to check mechanical properties of the finished product, in order to guarantee characteristics according to specs.

Eg. manufactures Inox Tech :
  • Large diameter (up to 100") / heavy wall welded pipes (up to 60mm)
  • Unit length up to 12 mtrs with no circular joints
  • Pipes produced by plate, welded and calibrated, ID/OD tight tolerances
  • Stainless / Duplex / Ni alloys / Clad / Carbon
  • Production capacity up to 25.000 tons per year
  • Advanced welding techniques
  • Mill approved by Shell, Total, Aramco, PDO, Exxon, Statoil and others
